It’s pretty hard to find a food that doesn’t taste good fried. Luckily pickles are already delicious, so there’s basically no reason why you won’t go nuts over this recipe. Why have regular fries when you can have pickle fries, really? And the best part? All it takes is four ingredients! Watch the recipe video now and then go make some fried pickles for yourself!
Here’s what you’ll need:
2-3 pickles, sliced into spears and patted dry
1/2 cup flour (regular or gluten-free!)
2 eggs, beaten
1/2 cup breadcrumbs
Here’s what to do:
Fill a large pot with 2 inches of vegetable or canola oil. Heat on medium heat until it bubbles around a wooden spoon inserted into the pot.
While the oil heats, whisk the eggs together in a small bowl. Put the flour and breadcrumbs into two separate bowls. Dip the pickles into the flour, eggs and breadcrumbs in that order. Drop the spears into the oil and fry until golden brown, about 1-2 minutes. (You may have to test one to check that the oil is at the proper temperature). Place the fried pickles on a paper towel to dry for a minute, and then enjoy!
